Do I have to build with Newhouse Builds?

No. Build-Ready Plans are yours to take to any builder. If you build with Newhouse Builds, your design fee is credited in full and you get interior elevations, interior design, and the build itself from one team.

How long does design take?

You will typically see an initial concept within 1 to 2 weeks of our discovery meeting. Construction documents follow once the schematic design is approved; timing depends on the size and complexity of the home.

Do you design outside Rapid City?

Yes. We design homes in Spearfish, Custer, and across the Black Hills and the surrounding region. Site and topographic details matter most, so we start every project with what your lot gives us.

Can I take my plans to any Rapid City builder?

Yes. Your construction documents are a complete, buildable plan set that any Black Hills contractor can price and build from.

Do you design for steep or hillside lots?

Yes. Slopes, granite, and pines are treated as design inputs. Walkout levels and stepped foundations are coordinated with your surveyor and structural engineer.

Are the plans ready for permits?

Construction documents are drawn to be ready for permitting and bids. A team that includes licensed architects reviews every set, and we coordinate with your structural engineer so the plans are complete when they go in.

Can I see homes you have designed?

Yes. Our portfolio shows selected residences, including concept visualizations and completed builds. Visit the Work page, or ask during discovery.
